In 2023, I was excited to visit California during the Summer. Specifically, San Diego. I had only been to San Francisco before. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was really looking forward to the pacific views that I heard were so stunning in SoCal, along with gorgeous mountains.
Walking around the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma San Diego, did not disappoint. Looking straight out into the distance felt like a painting. It looked and felt unreal. It was one of those moments I just wanted to stare into the distance and take a mental picture to last forever. The deep blue of the sea next to the rugged grassy terrain was something out of a movie. If you’re looking for a peaceful and beautiful walk to enjoy in Southern California, visiting Point Loma is a must.
Although it was already June, the mornings and evenings would drop a bit in temperature. There would also be a lot of fog. I found it was ideal to carry around a light sweater for whenever a little breeze came by. Here by the water, there was definitely a bit of wind, so with my sweater around my shoulders and the views in front of me, I felt like a real life Nancy Meyers movie.
