Food Talk- Brava!

Starting with this post, I am now going to start a new series called Food Talk. Believe it or not, I am a big food junkie and love going out to try new restaurants! Here in Miami, there is such a diverse ray of food options available, so it’s no wonder that it’s home to some of the best restaurants out there. I hope that you guys enjoy this series and possibly even get inspired to go and try out one of these restaurants yourself!

Almost one year ago, I turned 18 years old and of course it was a big reason to celebrate! One of the things that I do for almost every birthday, is go out and have a nice meal with either friends, family, or both. For my 18th birthday I went to a restaurant called Brava right here in Miami for brunch. Brava is located in downtown Miami inside the Adrienne Arsht Center. Some people go and dine after seeing a play there,  but I just went for the brunch in the afternoon. I think that it is best to make reservations before going (which is $10 per person) just because you never know if it will be full, or if they are having a private event there, but if not you are also welcome to walk in if available. Brava has a buffet styled brunch and it is truly delicious. If you are in the mood for something sweet, you can go over to the dessert bar and they will have waffles and endless options of toppings there. Plus they make the waffles right on the spot super quick, so they come out super warm and fluffy. I remember that they even had red velvet waffles. yum! They also have more sweet options such as parfaits. The presentation is exquisite. If you’re not craving anything sweet, don’t worry. You can also just go to the buffet in the middle of the restaurant and serve yourself more “real food”. I did both! And since it was my birthday, the chef made me a scrumptious dessert as a surprise! It was a mini chocolate cake with chocolate strawberries, and vanilla ice cream with fudge. It tasted amazing and it was such a sweet gesture from the staff. My experience at Brava was truly awesome and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is pricey, but I would say that it was all worth it. Brava also serves dinner which I have not tried it, but I’m sure it is also great.
